At Sandwick Junior High School Nursery, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, happy, valued and loved. We welcome children from the age of three into our warm, welcoming and nurturing environment, where they are encouraged to be curious, build confidence and develop a love of learning. Our dedicated staff team takes the time to get to know every child as an individual, recognising their unique interests, strengths and needs. We value positive relationships with families and work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure every child feels supported, included and ready to thrive.

We believe that children learn best through play, exploration and meaningful experiences. Our engaging indoor and outdoor environments offer a wide range of opportunities for children to develop their creativity, communication, independence and problem-solving skills. From imaginative play, construction and sensory activities to outdoor adventures, discovering nature and exploring our local community, every day brings opportunities to learn, grow and have fun. We offer both term-time and year-round provision, helping families find an arrangement that suits their needs, with additional hours also available on request. We celebrate children’s achievements, listen to their ideas and encourage them to follow their interests, helping them develop the confidence and skills they need for their next steps in learning. At Sandwick Nursery, we want every child and family to feel part of our nursery community, creating happy memories and laying strong foundations for a lifelong love of learning.

We intentionally & responsively plan to ensure our spaces reflect children’s interests and furthers play and learning.
