Secondary Department

Our Secondary Department supports learners from S1 to S4, providing a broad general education before progressing into the Senior Phase. We are proud of our National 5 pass rates, which sit above the national average.

Our approach is built on strong teacher-pupil relationships, small class sizes and a commitment to getting to know each learner as an individual.

Knowing our pupils as individual learners enables us to provide personalised support and bespoke learning pathways where required, helping every young person to achieve their potential. We recognise the value of strong partnerships in enriching learning and teaching, broadening opportunities and promoting wider achievement.

Through our curriculum and partnerships, we aim to develop pupils’ skills, confidence and aspirations, while providing access to relevant qualifications and experiences that prepare them for the world of work and their next steps beyond school.

“They told us about careers, I didn’t know there would be so many options… I am kind of motivated now knowing what I need to get in my exams to hopefully get an apprenticeship, it makes me want to try harder… Meeting actual people who work in jobs help me feel excited for ‘what next’…” Pupil Voice 2026 Workplace Visits
